The cool factor on these walls is that yours will be unique, not duplicated anywhere else.

Gallery walls can be quite organic, meaning you can add or subtract pieces at will. The idea is to have one cohesive composition of small works that becomes its own work. You can create a nice wall with between three and 20 works.

Here is a step-by-step guide to creating a satisfying wall your guests will envy.

1) Consider the theme you want to present.

4) Installation thoughts. Often actual galleries display strict rows of prints to a certain height. The other, more organic and elegant method is called Salon Style and is a mash up of works, often with different size and style frames.

9) Helpful installation practices. To minimize nail holes, try to use just one nail per piece. Place a small piece of museum putty on the bottom of the frame, to help it stay level. Usually you’ll want to center your vertical line around 60 inches above the floor. Consider spacing between pieces at a minimum of 4 inches.
